The motor mount project is not a rabbit hole.
No rabbit hole in known history (real or literature) is that greasy, grimy, grungy, dirty, disgusting and icky. :P
Put those woodworking skills to use building Dwayne's motor support.
The lift looks really nice. I'm horrible jealous.
But I'd have to build a whole new garage to be able to have one (yes, I'm thinking about it).

Motor mounts -- a perfect way to 'break in' the new lift. Start off with shower curtains, half a case of engine cleaner for the engine bay, all below the waistline. Rinse, repeat... Then have a ball. The motor mounts and OPG project on the lift will save your back for sure.

Now complete that job with on of these and enjoy being under your car...
It really makes it nice when you can raise and lower the seat to get that perfect angle when working under there...

127" (outside) - seems just right, the arms easily clear the wheels going in, then about a 3" extension. Probably a 5-inch window driving in, side-to-side. If I watch my weight, I'll be able to get inside.
Herman, after pondering the coming work while sitting in the cheap rolling seat I bought, you're device looks pretty smart. I'm thinking a 12-way electric seat mechanism might be a good start....
