Ritech Flex Plate Clamp - The New & Complete answer to TBF

Burning Brakes
I used the Porken Clamp on my 86.5 before it caught fire, and worked very well (measured it every year).
With the rebuild of the car I installed a Constantine clamp and superbearings which are even nicer.
But as an extra safety precaution for those who don't want/need to go through the trouble of removing the torque tube, I can definitively recommend the clamp-style solutions.

My experience suggests that hard driving can speed up the problem. I never had an issue until I watched a youtube video about how to manually shift a 928 auto and went out for a sporting drive. 15min later she stalled at a light and that was that.

Many years ago I lost my first S3 engine to TBF after hard driving- it had a Porken clamp installed-
Installed Constantine clamp on the replacement engine-
i also have Ritech on 89-
if I ever pull tranny I would probably replace with Constantine
(Please never stop making them)
