Complete 1987 928 S4 cooling flap assembly with motor. One crack in housing shown in pics, all vents are good, linkage is intact, motor is good complete with rubber boot cover. $200.00 plus shipping, or pickup in stockton ca

I'm guessing the S4 version of this is not compatible with an S3... I seem to be missing that entire piece.

The cooling flap assembly was an '87 to '90-only kind of thing.

Looking at your pic in the other thread, you're missing the vertical and horizontal grille pieces. THere is definitely no motorized flap assembly on an '86, though I don't know whether there was any surround ducting between the opening in the front bumper and the A/C condensor fan. I don't think so.
