Three Wheelin'
Mason never bought the car to part it. It was always going to be repaired. I bought my GT maybe a year before he purchased this car and his would have been a treasure trove for my build but it was never offered. I encourage someone to take a look at it. The repairs were well done. The only thing I can remember it needing cosmetically was for the nose to be repainted.

To be fair, it looks like it only took him about 48 hours to change his mind on parting it out

Well... Dan backed out. This car is not going to me. I heard from a reliable source that Dan tried to sell it to someone else for more money than what he an I had agreed to even after I gave him a deposit. That gave me a bad feeling and so I'm now actually glad he backed out and refunded my deposit.

Huh- this car is very similar to my old GT, which was #278. So this one came off the line in the first week of January 1990.

Taking a deposit and then backed out for a higher price is really a despicable thing to do. Then again there are always 3 sides of the story. However, judging from Dan's actions of deleting posts particularly the " Gratz, AO" post, I would think Dan is the bad guy. Then again, not buying a very questionable car from a more questionable seller. It might not be such a bad thing.

I was prepared to go through with the deal. Even had guys already lined up to drive it back from Frenzy.
My short attention span has already turned to another...

Same seller? "Dan" and "out of my league" are the same. So unsold 16 months later, now listed for $17,400??
I love the S3 fan-shoud with the big pusher-fan, mis-routed wires/hoses, missing hood-light switch and early A/C condenser. But worst of all... wait for it...
No jump-post cover.

Maybe AO should ask some "intimidating" questions on e-bay- maybe the entire list should?
I can visualise some interesting comments appearing on this thread in the near future.

Saw this thread the first time'round. That GT is a steaming puddle of warm diarrhea. There are so many obvious things wrong with it that any sane 928-savy person has to assume that the non-obvious things wrong with it are bad and numerous.
Kill it and send it to the organ banks. It has no use other than to bring misery and poverty.
