My son sent me these pictures. He thinks this may be available through Porsche.

Following as well. Without massive alterations you can't fit a double din system in our cars so this could be a cool option.
I am curious how many other components go with it and if its upgradable with new maps.

Hummm - I'm not at all keen on the sparse styling of this - those mushroom ***** look a bit too pre-928 retro to me, and the tiny buttons strain my eyes.
Anyway to each his own... it does however look to protrude a lot from the console face - is this an actual install or a mock-up/photoshop? is the unit too deep perhaps?
If its a euro model the radio may not be directly compatible in USA. Other questions would be on map availability and vehicle connections needed (some newer models now look for CANBus type speed indicators - problematic for us).
Seems it plays CDs and DVD's so I think it must have a fold down face plate - wonder if that's why it protrudes - some do manage this with a recessed/flush faceplate

I read over the PDF..I'm thinking its only loaded with maps of Europe. Not sure you can get it for the US.
Sounds like a nice unit tho, comes with two Hd card slots and bluetooth.
More info needed.

Why not something like this?....It should fit without modification

I don't particularly like the looks of that one either - but a fold down screen - over the clock & rear air controls is much better in a 928 than the more popular fold up screens that block the HVAC head/air vents.

This Porsche Classic Radio navigation system has been on sell in Europe for a while now, see specifications as per this PDF file:

This has been available here in Europe for some time. Mixed reviews, major crib is it does not fit 993s well, stands proud a couple of mm s. There was a deal IIRC including fitting at your OPC for a good price.

Don't apologize. Just wanted to make sure people understood it was some something "not new" to the market.
THere were single din NAV options that fit the 928 pretty well but they all seem to have vaporized.
AO showed us a Pioneer brand and someone else added a custom **** to a Parrot radio.
I think in both those cases those models were at least a few hundred cheaper than this one is. I worry about Map updates with the ones the others have purchased and this one.
I apologize if my saying it wasn't new was taken harshly.... unfortunately these devices just dont get traction.
I personally prefer the combination of NAV on the phone and BT connection to a radio.
Cheers!
