WARNING - Bad USED Parts Supplier
#46
bronto; when i opened this group a few month ago there where not a lot ppl in the group and therefore most of my parts. Whats wrong with that? If you go to it now you will find most postings from other ppl and my OLD posts except for a new on i posted yesterday.
As i mentioned in a previous post here, if i post a part for sale and somebody else referes to another source where to buy parts in MY post that will be deleted!
And yes, allowing ppl to use this platform to buy/sell and trade 928 parts is a nice thing. I do not take money or charging for it and parts are getting sold left and right. Even without this fb page.

And really, why would someone go elsewhere if your part is of good quality, reasonable price and you provide good service? Let them post alternatives if they want. You have nothing to fear from competition unless you have something to hide. And deleting posts sure makes it look like you've got something to hide.

Hi Rich....Firstly i have no dog in this race.....Trust is a major part of a business/customer relationship. I see there have been some extremely positive posts from people who have obviously known and dealt with you for a long period of time. I have no reason to believe you are trustworthy or untrustworthy, i don't even know you! But crucially, for the growth of your business there is a time when you need to earn new customers trust....and you wont do that by 'kicking off' and banning people from your pages. There was another 'vendor' recently that used just this tactic, and it was not pretty! There is a very limited customer pool for you, and to compete you need to show contrition. I tend to use my instinct when dealing with people, and on the internet where you rarely meet people 'face to face' this is crucial. I have never met Mark Anderson but i have purchased parts from him and Tom and have felt very relaxed doing so. Also i Buy most of my new parts from Roger, who i have also never met, i also feel very relaxed doing business with him. These people go the 'extra mile' . They might think i am a W"*^nker in private, but always deal with me in a professional manner. I suppose what i am saying, is that you are not giving off very good vibes at the moment to me, one of your potential customers, and unless you do something to turn the negative tide, you will lose a substantial customer base.

Rich you are causing more harm than good by these lame excuses. refund the money fully including the shipping, consider the lessons learned and move on. Continually offering excuses and not operating a business in an honerable fashion will add your name to the list of faled vendors for the parts of these fine cars. Do a search for Mason Fine.... you are following in his footsteps almost like you read and adopted his practices... and before you insult me for my post I won't buy parts from you just because how you handled Sean and Roger...
As we say on this forum quite a bit "best of luck with your sale" but in this case I mean the sale of your business to someone that has some honor and business sense.

I have also met Rich in person, at one of the local Atlanta gatherings.
And I too can confirm that he’s a really nice guy and he isn't out to screw anybody.
After reading Sean’s account, I think “he told Sean to take a ride” is a bit inaccurate.
I can't really comment on all of the Facebook shenanigans...
I do have a Facebook account, but unfortunately I’m completely inactive over on that site.
Heck, usually I can barely find the time to check in on this forum and I enjoy it WAY more.
(I entrust my wife to show me whatever Facebook family and friend stuff I need to see).
I think if Sean receives a full refund, he should not expect to keep the headlights, right?
The headlights should be shipped back to Rich in order to complete the refund process.
Rich should pay for the return shipment, so Sean is not out any of his own money.
^^^^ My $0.02….

Guys, forget all that has been posted above and give me an example of a business that does not have customer issues from time to time?
Every business has it's troubles, whether it's the customer or the owner. Everyone makes mistakes, we shouldn't turn everything into a war.
Now let's all hold hands and remember our common love for these cars.

All businesses have transactions that go sideways and customers that get agitated. Handling this well is pretty much the key to business success. Its a real skill, and difficult to learn. This thread does not represent the 'handling it well' case.
