Default Bulb Change on Pod Switches

Okay second rookie question of the day:

Doing R/R on pod.
Five switches on pod are out.
Half the bulbs don't work, and this one is broken.
Is there a trick to changing bulb?
Do they simply pull out or do the inner components come out?

Someone tell me before I hamfist something.
Thanks.

Yes, the little stock bulbs pull out/push in. The contact points on these bulbs are on the side, and in your pic would be at 1 and 7 o'clock. When you get a bulb in hand it will speak for itself. When I've removed a bulb in situ, I've used a wide flat needle nose, and was gentle. The push in is of course easier.

Easiest way is to use the correct size of stretch plastic tubing - just smaller ID than the bulb. Stick the needle nose pliers in the end (this is how to use them here...) stretch the end just enough to slip it fully over the bulb end - wait for it to contract and then pull the bulb straight out (don't twist). There is no need to remove the switch bodies to do this - just pull off the **** (straight outward) to access the bulbs.

The accepted trick to removing the bulbs is to use a short section of standard aquarium hose tubing slipped over the bulb to pull it out.

Works perfectly every time.

Nice trick.
Thanks Alan.

While there, what is the bulb diameter size to get the right tubing?

My calipers show ~6.4mm for the bulb

Ok I have created some fantastic new electrical gremlin.

I'm gonna need some help.
I was taking the car to Chicago in two days, this is not cool.

I put the cleaned switches back in the pod, without bulbs because I need to order them.

Passenger side parking lights and side markers remain on at all times (even with the damn switch pulled out).

Internal dome lights remain on as well.

Lights function both sides when turned on with switch.

Have pics but I can't upload them successfully tonight for some reason...ugh, someone just put me out of my misery.

Is your right turn signal on? Our cars come equipped with a feature that if you turn the signal on even with the car off it remains on. Hope it is that simple.

Kevin thank you, you are gold.
I ran out to the garage and that's exactly what it was.
I might be losing my mind.

The dome lights are not related to the pod.
