Default Please Identify this Part...

I found these pieces laying on the garage floor last night. Looks like a plastic disk or bushing.

I think it came from the rear suspension, but I haven’t had any chance to get under there yet.

PET describes many items as simply “washer” with no designation between metal or plastic.

I figured you guys would know in an instant what this is and where it came from...

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it's part of the shock assembly, just trying to recall where. I think it was in or around here:

I do remember replacing some on my shock project:

Sorry I don;t know what they do or how critical they are to proper operation.

I found a picture on how they fit into the front stack:

Sandwiched between the shock and max deflections sponge bumper thingy.

Kurt,

In your second post, you included the same picture as your previous post. Was that your intent?

Here is the PET picture for my front shocks. Are we talking about item 9, or maybe item 4, or possibly even item 12...?

Again, the description given for each of those items is simply "washer"...

This might help you.

Edit: This is for the back.
I'll post something for the front in a few min.

The car has been up and down, on and off jackstands numerous times lately (replaced transmission mounts, and replaced starter motor twice).

I'm guessing this very aged plastic washer got flexed, cracked, and the pieces fell out the last time I had it up.

OK. So it 's P/N-911.333.511.00 and there's one on each corner of the car.

As I first posted, I had originally suspected it came from somewhere in the rear.

I should be able to get back under there later today and see what I can find.

Thanks guys!

You will need to remove the entire shock assembly to install those washers.
Not sure if it worth the effort...
Better wait until you're ready to change the shocks!

The seals I got with my new Konis are split so they can be installed without taking everything apart. I know because I forgot to put them on. If I understand correctly, they act as a seal to keep junk out of the shock body, kind of a wiper for the shaft.
