Search for 944S2 or 968 pistons. I recall that being done in the late 90's. I recall it yielded around a 5.5L engine.

I'm muiling over a 104 mm bore 85.9 stroke 5.8 liter with Greg for the Zombie, kind of a happy medium between GTS and full-on stroker. Takes advantage of Mark's old heads with the 968 valves, and uses one of Greg's small-journal 'GTS' cranks that allows lighter rods and lower rod bearing speeds per rpm. Want to see how high we can make one rev.

I believe Todd is over boring a bit and using stock crank throw. 8000rpm or higher was his goal.

968 pistons in a 5.0L blocked bored to 104mm is one of the "standard" options, skips the cost of custom pistons if you pick up used, no need to Nikasil the block, then decide on custom crank and/or rods.

Downside as I understand it using 968 pistons is the old design is heavy vs new fancy pistons limiting top RPM.
