Beautiful 91 s4 on ebay

Wow! It's a good job that the interior isn't to my taste, or I'd be in trouble with the wife.
Anyone that likes that interior colour should see this now - it *looks* fabulous.

Interesting history, appears like 7 owners. Quite a few to my mind for these cars.
Does look to be in excellent condition, and some like the monochromatic classic grey interiors. Wouldn't qualify in PA as a classic or antique car, as the state does not recognize chromed wheels as Original!!!
The write-up and pix remind me of a guy in the SF area who was selling an '88 (I think) black/black car back in 2006, when I was looking for one. LOTS of beautiful pix by the sea, and praise for the car etc. I met him at SFO and drove the car between flights. It wasn't as nice in the 'flesh' as it had looked in the pictures. His price was representative of the pictures, so I passed on it.

Beautiful.
But..
If the Seller made the front spoiler black again with
$5 stuff from the local Pep Boys,
it would make a big difference in o.a. presentation.
also touch up the paint chips on the driver's door edge
and it will be near perfect.
these don't seem to be affecting the bidding though.

When I talked with the Las Vegas owner in 2008 (Mike Taing) he said the passenger side had some paint work because of a Honda in a parking lot.
The price in 2008 was $16,500ish... I wonder what it will sell for now?

That is one VERY nice S4. Drive off and forget about it condition, everything appears to have been serviced on it...even the flex plate as they installed a PKlamp too!
I'd just change out the wheels, go back to factory or some modern Carrera or Panameras on it. Hard to decide whether to keep it stock because of its low mileage condition or put all the bolt on mods and enjoy full gains.

8k miles in the last 20 years is a car to have very very carefully inspected by somebody that really knows the 928.

As you can see I did some work on this car. The seller at that time drove the car less than 1,000 miles from 2008 until it was sold to the current owner. I believe the mileage is accurate. The seller was out of the country so I sold the car for him. It was pristine except for some peeling chrome on some the wheels (which I still see in one photo) and a few small paint scratches that I could not buff out and don't show in photos. I don't remember any door edge touchup and it doesn't jump out at me in the photos. Nor does any coating of the front spoiler. The front spoiler looks fine excepting perhaps a couple of extra screws that don't look original.
The buyer, now selling, is quite a car nut and has a warehouse full of all kinds of cars. He asked me to go over the car before I delivered it to him. Most of what it needed was deferred maintenance. It initially failed smog. A new O2 sensor took care of that. I wish they were all that easy. BTW, the 25% mark-up on parts was the buyer's idea. As you guys know, I'm not a professional mechanic and I RARELY have done work on other peoples' cars for money. I prefer to wrench with the owner purely as a free, social activity. This was an exception.
Anyway, excepting the wheels and a couple of small paint defects that could be fixed easily and may have been, the car was pristine when I last saw it.
