i forgot to say i run a oil cooler as well, about 300x300mm with a 6 inch wide cold air feed to that. plus our hottest days are only 30deg c. max ive raced in is 34-35 at spa. we do a half hour qual, half hour race then a hour race there once a year with one series and two 30 min races with another.
maybe the lower temps over here save us, but spa is a big strain on most cars. i see just under 6k in 5th at the end of kemmel straight. raced the old 928 there 10 times, had won 6 out of 7 so was pushing hard. the competition has got faster now, hence the upgrades!
the valvoline is vr1 too, not road stuff.

ill stick with it while it works for me.

the brakes failed in qual after the team manager said it didnt need new pads, i argued and argued that it did due to the fast fast straights there then having to nearly stop dead in places. i smashed it to pieces, ill post a couple of vids later, theres 1 in car and 1 out. he said i had sat with my foot on the brake in the pits which i never do. we repaired the car for the race, as best as we could and the pedal started going to the floor again after 3-4 laps so i pulled off and said see wasnt me sitting with the hot brakes on in the pits!

hes my dad so he feels real bad now, ive had pins and needles in my arms since and someother problems due to aggravating old racing injuries to my neck and back from a high speed off in my old gt2 in 2009. the joys of motorracing!

outside the car, rear brakes only made it like pulling the handbrake on, i pressed them 3 times harder and harder. on the last press it locked the rear end up and i entered the corner like a drift car

in car, we was tryin to dial the suspension in because combe is so bumpy after we had last raced at silky smooth spa. trying to get rid of oversteer coming out of the corner hence the wait before i get my foot on the gas. lucky i came out the pits was only in 3rd instead of 5th!

no, its repeatable and was changed with the platform change(s). by putting in the mobil 1 and Valvoline racing oil in scots car, we saw the oil pressure meter drop to 1-2 bar when racing hot, and THE oil pressure warning light would come on . so , its likely that the pressure was indeed, low!

see above comment. its all relative but it works and seems to be very sensitive to temp as well.

Hot pressure is always 5 bar at any rpm above 3000.. hot idle it runs around 2 to 3 bar. on the grid. you can see it in most all of my videos.

around a high speed sweeper like turn 2 at thunderhill, it will drop to 4.5 bar around the turn. that's the only movement I get from the needle.
with amsoil, we got the oil warning light to come on. not good. change the oil and that never happened again.
