Two Z-orders, indeed. One for the piping of the seats, certainly, and another for the stripes, maybe.
I can't read the two Z-orders codes which are the two last with 5 figures.

Interior codes?
Ri @Rob Edwards - first of all, I cannot express enough gratitude for what you did and are doing with your contributions to FB and RL and in particular this thread, which was immensely helpful in my decision to buy my 1991 GT as I’m sure it has been for hundreds of folks to date.
I still follow this thread and always excited to learn about the various ways our cars were optioned. Those X and Z codes always start a fascinating conversation (and often lead me down the RL rabbit hole reading old threads about them). My car was initially advertised as an “S” then and “S4”. After the first telltales (6600 RPM redline, water temp with numbered markings) this thread is probably the reason I pulled the trigger. Yes, I should’ve probably listened more to the “buy the best one you can afford” advice but that one is in me. The car is overall solid and i’m committed to constant improvement….
I noticed that you recently listed interior codes. Do you have these for 1991 VINs or is this a sporadic thing that just happened to be In the database?. Without the trunk and service book stickers I’ve been trying to confirm mine for a while. I was able to pick a small piece under the reupholstery which I’m pretty sure is classic gray but unsure to what extent (I.e carpet, dash etc - black vs classic gray). If you have those available I’d love to validate for WP0AA2928MS810424.
Thank you again for everything!
Eran

Hi Eran-
The fun for me is the archaeology of the option codes- not sure _why_ I find it interesting but some people just have the geekout gene.
RE: the interior codes, I have some data for some cars but it's pretty spotty- RE: your '91 GT, this is what I have:
Production number: 1211897
Interior code MX- Classic Gray, faux leather/leather
Seat Combination- APL (Classic Gray, full leather comfort seat, non-heated. If you could still buy a driver's seat for your car from Porsche the full part number would be 928 521 001 86 APL)
Carpet color code 4XR - classic gray carpet
For what it's worth, Porsche published a 'handbook' of interior color codes- I assume there was one for each model year or at least one for each time that they changed the interior color schemes. I only have the '92 version, but it includes Classic Gray. Here are two pages that show what trim piece was what color for a given code:

the information you provided is super helpful. I did see the words MX come up in one of the VIN searches but wasn’t sure how it affected the dash, consoles, carpets, lower part of door cards etc. I don’t want to peel my otherwise clean white upholstery so now I know what I need.
I’m going to start a search for classic gray trim and carpet. I will likely Re-trim my seats or buy cores and send off to the upholsterer (Roger made a recommendation for Classic 9 which I’ll likely follow).
many thanks!
