WP0JB0924FS860399

I briefly owned a U.S. '85 that also fell between the cracks (WP0JB0927FS860820), which lies between FS860809
and FS860830 in the database.
Thanks for checking Rob. I called the local dealer's service department where I had my last 928 worked on before and the service manager told me all the option codes it came with. The guy was really nice. The cars build date was on his birthday by chance. It came with 018, 139, 158, 220, 319, 340, 418, 481, 490, 494, 533, & 650. I'm now looking into what these all are. So far, I'm very happy with the options as I read about them.

Thanks again,

Rob

Default german Euro car

Rob,
Thanks for the look-up. I was thinking gray market on this car.
The car has an engraved plastic plack for the vin tag on the A pillar.
The one that is in the engine compartment is etched correctly in the metal on the fender gutter.
The car has some weird options ; like the sills of the doors have the '928" insignia in clear plastic, rather than brushed aluminum.
Headers, clearly aftermarket right?
Individual fuel lines to each injector, rather than 2 large rails.

Thanks again
Dave

^^ 82 Euro has CIS injection, which is continuous mechanical injection, with a black distributor body at the rear of the motor, and individual hard lines to each injector.

Clear plastic see through to the body colour of the sills is as they should be too.

Standard exhaust manifolds are cast iron ... so if you have tube headers they would be aftermarket.

Here's a motor and sill pic ...

The born-on date of my '90 GT #278 was January 10, 1990. I have to believe that #161 would have been built in the calendar year 1989. But not necessarily September 5, 1989...

Is an '06 997. Sorry but I don't have any information on option codes outside of 1980-1995 928s. AFAIK neither does Dave928S or Hilton.

Is an '87 911 of some sort. Apologies Brian, but I don't have option codes data on non-928s.

I've just been trying to decode the VIN to get basic info and came up with the same result as Rob ... but suspect that a couple of your numbers might have been misread.

Can't give detailed info other than 928's, in any case.
