Hey Rob. I just purchased this 94 GTS in Germany this last week and it’s in the midst of getting transported to the States as we speak. It’s a highly optioned car with full leather interior everything including instrument housing/dash/center console/cargo cover, cell phone package, widened front fender flares etc. It’s Aventurine Green with aquamarine leather and comes with a bunch of brochures from Porsche showing it to be a special edition produced in one of two colors, Aventurine Green and Iris Blue. Both of these cars came with the same identical options. I’m curious to know If they only made two cars in this special edition or multiple cars in these two colors? Also, my interior color code is PX. I’ve never heard of that before and am wondering if it is color to sample? Lastly, curious to know how many 928’s were produced in my color combo or is my car a 1 of 1? Thanks Rob!

When you have them, please post pics of the brochures, I'm not aware of any special edition cars in the European market(s). I'm afraid I don't know about the PX interior code, I have the 92/93 codes but not the 94/95 codes. Though it sounds a lot live DaveS's '95 in New Zealand- Aventurine Green and Cedar green interior. Perhaps he can chime in with his interior code (?)

I'm afraid I don't have the ability to count how many Euro market GTSs were what color combo- US market yes, ROW no.

This is questionable if its just 8x17 Cup 2 wheels and same as usual fenders even though option code list says othervise. Interesting to see what brochure says about it.

The 1993 Exclusive catalog has a pic of the X38 option- steel fenders, flared. To be honest from the picture I can't tell which car's fender is stock and which is flared. (Or maybe they're both X38 cars? Dunno.)

Anyone got an X38 car to see whether a magnet will stick to the front fenders?

Thanks Rob. The only option I didn’t see on there that I do have is the cellular phone Motorola with special center console. I do see the cassette container with coin box in the options list which is actually the cellular phone console so maybe no need to mention cellular phone if you already have the special cassette container? I can post a

picture of a couple excerpts from the brochure right now. All of the rest of the information is coming to me via FedEx from Germany along with everything else. Once I get that I will post more pictures okay. This page is in German so hopefully someone can translate 😊

Hi Vilhuer. The fenders are actually a bit wider than the stock fenders but are very subtle. No tacky add-ons like the Japanese market front fenders. The wheels and tires are now identical to the rears so all four corners are the same.

Having seen one late GTS with X38 option and compared fenders to another GTS fenders I would say they are exact same. No change what so ever. At least on that '94 automatic originally sold in Germany which has X38 option listed. Also rears should be 9" as in normal summer setup. 8" rears are winter wheels which have different part number compared to summer 8" wheel. Probably due to different paint to provide better protection against salt. If your car truly has different front fenders we need to see exactly how they are different.
