What does "Sport group 1" refer to?

I think it's a synonym for the Competition Group option, my options list is an amalgam of Samuel's, Hilton's, Erkka's, Stuttcars', and Google translate.

This one is a bit long in the tooth but I have to know what is all on this car (in English). It might be one that just gets put into long term storage to prevent it from falling through the cracks... Thank goodness it is not a five speed with sport seats and no rub rails! I'd be hopelessly in lust!

This is a 1986 928 S3 delivered for Australia.
RHD, with automatic gearbox so M28/46 engine and A28/11 gearbox.

306 cars were produced with a M28/46 (1986 MY only) of which 120 were for Australia. The others were for Germany and Switzerland, so LHD.

Thanks, appreciate the research. Picked the car up on impulse in Canberra Australia, light fire damage on top of the fuse board. Interesting it will be, sorting that wiring out! Lol
