Has custom options up the galore with full linen interior/*****/speaker grills, rootwood.
Wanted to check if there are any other special options that I can't see from pics.
Hi Hoi- I'm not seeing any exclusive options on this one- perhaps they were dealer installed (?) Maybe they ran it through the Exclusive shop when they picked it up at tourist delivery?

Got any pics?

Hi Rob,
Thanks for getting back to me re my VIN WPOZZZ92ZES842001
Is it possible to double check for me?
My vehicle is RHD however details provided indicate it is for german market ( I499 version for Germany) which I understand would make it LHD.
Also G28.07 Trans I think is manual yet mine is actually Automatic.
It seems a prettry original vehicle (only 68,000 miles showing & no signs of a LHD to RHD conversion or change of trans.
I have only just purchased & its my first 928.
If any further info is available it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark.

Hi Rob, additional info found by magnifying sticker (see photo) near spare tyre & appears its a C15 (Hong Kong) vehicle. If you can dig up any info on Option Codes would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mark

Is it possible to double check for me?
The VIN you listed comes up with the options I listed above. Something's clearly amiss either with the database or with the VIN you posted, if you have a right-hand drive car- is it the silver car with the dual rear foglamps in your picture? Dual fogs were only for the Great Britain and Hong Kong markets. And there were 2 Hong Kong market and 314 Great Britain market cars in 1984. If you post a bunch of pics of the car you have including the VIN tags by the hood latch perhaps we can figure out what's going on.

z11-z27-z44-z32-z35-z43-y66-z09-xl4-xk7-xz4-xn7-xn8-xp9-x87-xf2-y65-x43
Hoi- So this is very strange and kind of cool- it's an '87 car which was somewhat early in the Exclusive program yet it has the Rootwood pieces. The earliest listed car in the PET database with rootwood is a relatively late '89 Euro car. But we know there's at least one Saudi market '86 with Rootwood (https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...k-s-928-a.html).

Many of these option codes you list do not exist in the 928-specific Exclusive program option catalogs I have from 1991 and 1994. But Stuttcars has a pretty comprehensive list of Exclusive option codes for the 993, so I'm using those here- you can decide if they match with what you're seeing on this car in person.

Z11- Unknown- 993 Exclusive codes list this as Leather carpet welting
Z27- Unknown- 993 Exclusive codes list this as leather headliner
Z44- Unknown - 993 Exclusive codes list this as deviating color door panels, armrest lids and handles in vinyl. Not sure how this could co-exist with Z43.
Z32- Leather piping- color to sampleLeather Piping - color to Sample
Z35- Unknown- 993 Exclusive codes list this as deviating color leather covered knee-bar. Since this isn't an airbag car I'm not sure what the 928 equivalent would be- package trays?
Z43- Unknown- 993 Exclusive codes list this as Deviating color door panels (leather), armrest lids and handles (leather)
Y66- Unknown to me but XP9 is listed below as part of Y66, which at least in 993s of the era included XN1 XN2 XP9 XW6 XW8 and XZ7
Z09- Unknown- 993 exclusive codes list this as leather welting
XL4- Root wood center console, door panel and trim inlays with analog clock
XK7- Leather Wrapped Shift **** and Cover (deviating colors or to sample)
XZ4 - Leather Glove Box Rosette
XN7- Leather Parking Brake Lever (standard with Package Y17)
XN8- Unknown- 993 exclusive codes list this as Leather sun visors
XP9- Leather Radio Speaker Trim Rings (standard with Y66 and Y18)
X87- 993 Exclusive lists this as Dark Rootwood door trim
XF2- Leather pod
Y65- 993 Exclusive lists this as leather package including XN3 XN4 XV1 XV2
X43- 993 Exclusive lists this as Leather cover for centre console button panels

Tourist delivery? If you contact Porsche Australia they may have some info on where the car was sold new. I have a 79 UK car and found out which dealer sold it.

Default VIN WPOZZZ92ZES842001

Hi Rob, yes, it is the RHD silver car with the dual rear fog lamps pictured. Managed to clean up tag near spare tyre & it looks like a Hong Kong vehicle c15. A couple of additional photos attached. Any additional info on option codes you can locate would be greatly appreciated. Mark

Ah, it's WP0ZZZ92ZFS842001, not WP0ZZZ92ZES842001. So it's an '85, not an '84. Here are the correct options for that car. Interesting that it doesn't sped a radio- by any longshot is there a radio operation manual in the glovebox?

WP0ZZZ92ZFS842001

1985
C15- Hong Kong market
M28.22- engine serial # range 82F 05001>10000
A28.06 -transmission serial # range 16 F 05001> 11000 - 2.54:1 Final drive ratio.

M058 - "Impact absorbers front and rear, Bumper with shock absorber instead of
shock absorber-tube"
I251 - Automatic transmission, shorter gear ratio 33/13 (2.54:1) for Sweden and Switzerland A28.03 and A28.09, and apparently for Hong Kong A28.06....
M261 - Outside mirror - plain-Passenger's side, electrically adjustable and heatable
I395 - Forged wheels, silver colored anodized, 7JX16, tire 225/50 VR 16
I415 - Widening of the gauge on the track on the rear axle
I567 - Windshield tinted, upper part
M650 - Sunroof

Thanks so much for finding the meaning of those codes Rob!
-Hoi
You're welcome- I'm not 100% confident that they're all correct, since I've never seen a definitive list for the early Exclusive program. Would be interested to hear if you see any discrepancy between what I listed and what's on the car.
