Jim, would love to see some pic's of your engine/blower install. I have a 500sl AMG that is the 107 body and need new headers for it. Are you making these your-self or having them done? Id like to have a set of them for mine if they'd fit my block. I have thought of SC mine as well.

I am in on a group buy for the headers. If you want a set send me a PM ASAP. I collected everyones money today and payed the header builder but as long as I have it by Monday he can still fit another set in the production run. The cost is very reasonable for a custom set of headers. Maybe we can work something out? I need an intercooler system and one just like yours would work perfectly.

Jim,
Those are very pretty headers. Did you not like the headers that were out there, or are they just not available anymore?
I'm sure you'll get some very impressive #'s out of that beast when you're done - As I recall, AMG used to get 500+ HP out of the classic 5L in the late 80's - so it should really haul with some modern tech.

Greg,
There were no headers available. There are Euro manifolds but they are not the best for flow and there are also AMG headers but they are not available anymore and they weren't nearly as good of a design as these. I'd say I did pretty good to get a custom set of headers with JetHot coatiing for $1,150.
