I have a new rebuilt lower front a arm. Do you install dry, or grease the the rear bushing?

Thank You

dry ,
no lubrication is used on any of these assemblies.
except for the bolts that screw into the frame, use copper antiseize

Fingertight when wheels in the air, torque to spec once on the ground.

So how do I torque them when on the ground? There is not enough space to get a wrench once the car is on the ground. The car cannot go on Ramos because it is too low and the spoiler will hit before the tire goes up.
Can you just put a jack under the wheel hub and then torque these?
Sorry for the hijack.

There is enough space, you just have to go low and get dirty

If you lie down next to the car, you can get your arm and torque wrench under the car, around the wheel.

If there isn't room to get a long 19 mm socket on a 1/2" drive torque wrench on the rear LCA bolts with the car on the ground, your ride height is too low.

Be careful to check the torque settings carefully- as I remember there is quite a difference between the rear most bolts and the front ones- the front being somewhat lower. Do not fall into the trap of finding one setting and assuming the other is the same.

Regards

Fred

Front LCA bolts- 100 mm long, torque with car in air, 63 ft-lbs

Rear LCA bolts- 80 mm long, finger tight, then torque on the ground, 88 ft-lbs.

Yes, dry, as Stan said. I have installed a pair of Mark Anderson's rebuilt arms, and with the new rear rubber they do not go into the rear bracket easily. I had to use a jack under the arm to get it in enough to install and snug up the bolts. The rubber will compress, but the first time it takes some doing. Then you torque the rear on the ground, as other noted. The shop manual covers this. The front bracket bushing is fixed, bonded and does not move in the bracket (it merely twists elastically), so the front bracket can be torqued either up in the air or on the ground. If you ever find that the bonded front rubber bushing begins to rotate in the bracket, that means it is broken and the A-arm needs to be replaced.
