Are they really that expensive? Luckily I have a pretty decent pair. Have a spare set that's pretty rough also...the duct tape couldn't hold up to the engine temps.

Just comparing it to the prices I've seen here from members. I bought my replacement set for $40 in nicer condition than those from someone on here. Then again, you guys are great so it's no comparison.

I know they've been NLA for a long time. I "ordered" a set from 928 International 3 years ago. Canceled it after 1 year since they couldn't find any. All the others years are so easy to find brand new. Really sucks for us S3 owners sometimes.

How difficult would it be for someone like Jerry Feather to fabricate new ones?

I have talked to owners that failed Calif smog inspection due to lack of the intake tubes. Not sure that it should of happened, but that is what the owner said failed the visual inspection.

Yipes, pair of used rough shape sold for $109 shipped, plus ca tax for some too.
