Default 1993 GTS @ Willhoit

I sold my '90 GT 10 months ago and have regretted it. This '93 Michael has looks very nice and I love the low miles.

And for Michael, it is a real value at the price he is asking, and getting from what I read here, for his GTS's.

If you have money to throw away, go for it. If you want that 928 feeling again, buy a good used GT and have it gone through. You could get a VERY nice GT for under 25k plus add twin turbo and engine rebuild for 20k. You then have a superb driving machine for HALF that money.

Why would that be a throw away? If he wants it, it's worth whatever he's willing to pay to buy and maintain. A 7,000 mile GTS will be as close to driving off the lot as anything out there. The cosmoline and self-destroying rear wheel well covers are still there!

Maybe there are 1000 1993 model year cars out there with under 10K right now and few have been gone through like Wilhoit's.

Nothing like an ORIGINAL low mileage car.

That's Scaglietti money right there. But - it's a nice 928.

I'd get the older one and tt engine first. Then you aren't getting whacked on depreciation for miles.

If a Wilhoit is as good mechanically/electrically as it is esthetically, then bravo. It is not for us who already have our 928 and know. It acts as a statement to others to 'afford' further prestige to the model.

I take it back. They just painted the whole hub with grey paint/primer without worrying about overspray. Why?

Scandalous!

It's missing the blue plastic screw cover on the jump-post, and the hose clip on the bottom radiator hose at the t-stat looks too thin.

Apart from that I suppose it looks OK...

Seriously she's beautiful. But what is that grey paint on the rotors?

For that price and those miles there's got to be something wrong with it.

Bet the gray spray on the rotors is to keep them from looking rusty.
Very happy with the GTS I got from Michael.

They only painted the hubs, not the rotor surfaces. But the fools painted the stud threads too!

Dude, that is absolutely on the rotor surface.

Well, from his post, it sounded like he had a GT daily driver. This one you are paying for the low milage. Use it and you take a HUGE hit in the value of the car. And like I said, for half the money you would do doughnuts around that car.

Exactly. As a driver, build it. You can't cheaply erase the miles for a garage queen.

Ya, a little amatureish no doubt. For 80 some odd k, you think they could have gotten the rotor coated....
