Yes....sort of.

The 928 A/C system works best with R12. Of course, R12 is very difficult to find, these days, and the time is going to come when it is impossible to obtain. Interestingly enough, it appears that R134 is going to "follow" the same exact path....it's just a game.

The condenser I add is specifically designed for R134 and is actually a "stand alone R134" condenser from another vehicle. I also include new expansion valves that are specifically designed for R134, with my kit. This ensures that the liquid Freon is able to "flash to gas" in the correct ratio for the R134 to properly function.

It is very essential to completely clean the old system of any traces of mineral oil....and this can be very difficult at the compressor. If there is any question of the compressor's integrity (there are very few 20 year old compressors that do not have seepage or clutch problems), I find it wise to replace the compressor, at the same time the system is converted to R134.

The cost to install completely depends on the condition of the existing system and if it has been previously converted to R134. Generally, the cost is between $1200 to $1500. (I almost always will install a new compressor, if I'm converting to R134.)

Whatever the issues, we can almost always complete the job in one day.

My problem (one of them....it's a long list) is that I'm just not "into" the business part of being creative.

I love to create, I love to fabricate, I love to make prototypes, I love to test.

I dislike marketing, selling, and making out invoices.

I must have 50 products for the 928s, now....all special sauce stuff....just kept secret, because of a complete lack of marketing. "Word of mouth" is the only way it happens, right now.

I've never cared much about money....just need enough to survive and work on the next project. "Making" big piles of it always seemed so silly....making something that people want and need....that's the real goal.

I'd be much happier if I could simply send everything off to people, free.

Funny, that suddenly sounds like I'm a closet Democrat.
A basic cart and order management system isn't too tough to put together man., and can even be something that can be easily managed for folks that don't like working on computers. It doesn't have to be a chore, and with the right person to shepherd you along, you can be up and running in no time.

Shoot, I would be willing to help you along.
