The sliverknit carpeting washes up very nicely in the washing machine on cold. I had a 98 993 that had cashmere and it literally came out like new with simple washing. The fine fibers trap so much dirt and debris

Logging lots of miles running errands and some pleasure drives on the 79. Running excellent and starts flawlessly under all conditions. I have been dong small jobs little by little.
I planned on repairing my driver side seat bottom which was in nice shape but needed the pleats reglued. Unfortunately, a mishap with the Leatherique caused it to shrink badly. I installed a set of PASCHA seats that i had on hand. I like them, brightens the interior up a good bit and I am going to have Rob Budd make a set of front coverings for me.
With all these new parts, the preservation effort is really going askew
Paint is in the future, probably on the menu for next year!

Been enjoying the 928 over the past couple weeks. Did a couple of small jobs including reinstalling the wheel well liners.
Between the three parts cars, I managed to come up with a good set. I reinforced the holes on the front liners from behind using some scrap plastic and structural epoxy. I used 3/4 inch pipe insulation, trimmed 1.25 inches total and folded in half into the channel
I also did a quick, down and dirty respray of the rear window trim in place. Why? Cause someone painted them gold many moons ago and the trim was a mixture of peeled black, gold, anodized black and aluminum. Yes, this will eventually have to be redone again but for now, it looks 100% better.

Used DC111 as a lube. Great stuff. These went on easily.

So I decided to have a little fun and take the 928 to a local car show. Peeling paint, ripped Pascha and all!
101 degrees and all I could worry about was my dash cracking. Ran fantastic!
