I thought I would be done today, but i guess it was not meant to be.
We will see how it turns out. I tend to have a lot of faith in people, maybe that is my downfall in life.

If I were you, I'd "secure" the belt, send it to Roger at 928 R US, and ask Roger to have one of the engineers at Goodridge look at it. Roger knows these guys on a "first name" basis, from when he developed his high performance belt....and these people are really willing to help.
When I was having a problem with one of the early prototypes of Roger's belt, these engineers actually came out to my shop to see what was "going on", took the pieces back to their lab, and got me an answer.
Roger has some amazing connections....he's such a personable guy, it is easy to understand why. I'm certain that he'd be happy to help.

Exellent Advice.
Colin sent me the pictures of the belt, today. I sent him my opinion of what happened.

I'm no lawyer, but am quite familiar with being screwed around.

Thanks again for all your help;

WOW, that thing was sheared with some serious force. Are there any stripped teeth on any other parts of the belt? You would think if something stopped like a cam gear, with enough force to snap it that some teeth on the belt would also get damaged.

So The Shop is Claiming a Defective Belt?
Nope. The belt is otherwise intact. According to the shop after the failure the cams were rotating. Also the car has a 20K WP and Porkenioner, new rollers etc. All functioning normally.

They are claiming that the camshafts were hitting full coil bind, and this was what caused the belt to fail.
When I isntalled the camshafts, I had the engine at 45 BTDC and rotated the camshafts numerous times to ensure free rotation. There was no binding what so ever.

Thanks again to all for your input and replies.
At this point I have some thinking to do and it would be best to close this thread.
When everything is said and done I will update with a new thread to let everyone know and hopefully some good lessons will be learned to be shared with everyone.
Thank you again;
