Was fortunate.
Buttoned all up, ran car for a while and no leak after torquing down the bolt.
Went for first drive in about 2 weeks, and runs great.
This Boy is happy.

One of those Pela siphons would have been useful for clearing fluid out of the V, as it has a long and thin hose that you can poke down there, and generate sufficient vacuum to easily suck up all the fluid.
In fact I used mine at weekend to clear V as was doing a coolant change, and when I was flushing the block some water got into the V.

I will add if the rear block off plates and FPR and damper brackets are not reassembled correctly or the wrong length bolt is used or a washer is left out, the bolt will bottom and feel torqued properly but you will have a similar leak. Also, be careful threading and torquing these bolts - I've encountered stripped threads on the block here.

I didn't take the plate off. Just the one bolt removed. When I removed it, I cleaned it up then replaced. It was the same factory bolt.
