Default Looking for a Manual Gearbox, Pref. in Europe

As the title says, Im looking for a manual gearbox, (preferably in Europe to reduce the shipping costs and import tax. )

Preferably S4 / GT spec, no PSD, but a regular LSD is a HUGE bonus.

Im also looking for the assosiated conversion parts......

Any pointers...?

no affiliation with any of these vendors.

Good luck to you.

I got an '88 GT box from a scrapyard in the UK - Its all working but heavily worn. I'm going to have it re-built as soon as I can sell one of the children.

You might want to check with 928 International for a good used one or Greg Brown for a brand new one.

This 5-speed transmission is much lower in price, only about € 920.oo.

As far as I remember the older 5 speed boxes are not as good as the S4 and up? Or...?

They changed the sync rings in 85 for a better solution. I have an 83, 120000km and the syncros are already bad on 1., 2. and partially 3. They usually last around 100000km.

I would not get a ->85 gearbox without documentation of service.
Wouldn't get a ->85 gearbox at all for a 85-> car.
