Finished suspension rebuild yesterday (shocks, wheel bearings, brakes (inc parking), ball joints, tie rod ends, cv joint rebuild) and test ride was most pleasant! Which is a way of saying holy hell, what a difference!

On the downside, in terms of presentation at Frenzy, last year's ugly duckling is even uglier, as I have just begun cosmetic work - starting with rub strip and spoiler delete, so the body will still be in flipper black, with the original garnetrot showing where the above items were removed. Attractive, no? No! Who cares? I'll be there. Actually I think I have to put the hatch spoiler back on to keep the hatch glass in place... Details, details...

 

OK guys I am bringing the 83 5 speed so let the fun begin. We have a few folks from the Charlotte area that will be car pooling in Friday.

Not ready yet but almost. The car is still on jack stands but not for long...

Changed oil (Royal Purple 15-40), tighen up the oil pan bolts (many were quite loose ),
Put a coat of "AutoGlym Super Resin Polish". Give the car an ultra deep shine!
Today, I need to clean the wheels (there off the car) and check all fluids and tire pressure and we will be ready to go...
