I also think that the fuel distributor on the 300 HP K-Jet engines were different, my source tells me they were hand selected based on flow for these "high output" engines.
Same fuel distributor was used on all CIS cars 78 to early 84 - both 4.5 and 4.7 engines.

Careful here. Gretchen is playing favorites and you could get an "infraction" for even talking about "you know who".....I did.
Why did they give "YOU" an infraction - I have only ever seen you telling the truth. That is soooo wrong.

Yes, those "hand selected" rumors have been going on, with different parts, for years.....doesn't matter what brand of vehicle it is, either.

Some people just need to think they have "something special".

If Porsche used "something special", they changed the part number.

Turns out that "helping your buddy out" has its own rules.

Gretchen and "you know who" have something special going on. It turns out it was planned, ahead of time.....they communicated about it. Gretchen, who has never said a word to me (about anything to do with "you know who") jumped in, handed me an infraction, and then would not....still will not reply to anything I sent him.

Very fairly done.

It came from a trusted "source" so it must be right - I agree 100% if it changed it got a different number.
But maybe there was a secret team of "lets find the better flow CIS distributor guys" let loose and only put them on the standard 4.7L S CIS engines.

This is the type of BS that gets me mad.

Careful.

Like I said, "favorites" being played, behind the scenes.

To be accurate. Early '84 MY ROW S got 310hp M28/21 or M28/22 twin dizzy engine. Only pistons were older design until they run out meaning they had only 10.0:1 CR instead of later 10.4:1. They had LH-jet etc and look exactly like later S/S2 engines.

Careful is not in my vocab.
This person is the same person who, when I asked to buy his product at full retail price told me publically that he refused to sell me the parts because I would copy them. We were talking about rack bushes, parts that my daughter could have made with her hands tied behind her back. Parts that had already been made years before by other 928 parts suppliers long before 928MS existed. This is the same guy that I went out of my way to help personally at Wichita and did him a big favor. As long as he continues to utter bad information I will be there to put it right.

For Rennlist to give you an infraction for telling the truth brings into question the moderators ability to be judge and jury - I am so sorry that happened to you. You give so much to the Rennlist community and there action is so wrong.

Thanks Erkka and I bow to your more accurate information.

Roger, your plenum spacers may be cheaper but they don't make an extra 10 hp at the top end! ;-) Sorry, couldn't resist.

All snark aside, my humble request would be for everyone to vigorously debate the technical merits (or lack thereof) of various products and but still all be friends, sing kumbaya, and get along...

I don't believe this is correct but since you said it to correct misinformation it can't be wrong.

Let's all iron our own undies for a while.

Very happy to be corrected if you can come up with the proof - Erkka you are probably sleeping now but would you care to comment when you awake please?
Erkka already stated that the early 84 cars got the M28/21 and M28/22 engines as stock and I accept his greater knowledge.
1980 to 1983 ROW S cars were standard fit with the M28/11 & M28/12 300hp engines certainly NOT an option as Carl stated.

I've never had a problem finding Roger when I needed him. And we're over five years now....

And, yes, thanks Carl for getting this out there for folks who may be interested.

And, sorry about your luck so far...but if you're too value conscious (CHEAP) to become a member....

I think you may be able to see where I might be going with this....
