Good call!
Would've been a neat graphics theme, was a track car IIRC.

Note the boss for the badge- intake is 180'd.

Wait, it can?

Any good ideas on how it can be improved?

I have but one question: WHYYYYYYYYYYYY !!!

S4 manifold improver in spare time. :-)

At least the S3 manifold is the front end of a reasonable looking horse.

The S4 manifold breaks every rule in the manifold design handbook: U-turns, varying x-section runners, no port matching, and the gas direction leaving the runners is across the intake axis of each port. Then there are the intake bellmouths ...

All up the poor old intake air flow never gets a chance to straighten out and pick up amy speed.

The more I've studied that thing the more I've decided that it's barely worth repainting let alone trying to improve it's performance, so I'm embarking on a prototype of my own along these lines:

As the runners have to be curved they cannot stay circular:

Intake bellmouth shape:

Why U don't knife edge the inlet port separator

Did someone say "bellmouth"?

That is scary !!!

Why?
THe variable response provided by the flappy is appealing for the street.
Concede that the other design issues may supercede that consideration.

But, as I alluded to, if it were done soup-to-nuts it should allow easier fitment of various supercharger options, which would help bully some of those design shortfalls.

Too bad we can't get the Cayenne or Panamera v8 bits on there.
