How fast have you had it up to?

150 on the back straight at VIR. I lifted going into the roller coaster (after smoking a 911 out of the Oak Tree turn) cuz I wussed out, but I had room for another 5-10 mph. SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK PEOPLE!!! Yet another reason why you should track your 928. It loves the high speed, and is so stable up there.
Per the Topic:
In the S4, about 160 indicated ( no GPS), which was enough to leave a rev-limited M3 behind.
In the S3, 122 (per GPS) on the above mentioned VIR Back Straight.

I think all of about 40 mph. Car has 60K with original TB, I was too nervous to go any faster. I’m about halfway through a TB/WP rebuild on her. Hopefully soon I’ll be able to report a much higher speed.

Owned my '96 993 about three weeks. Hit 105 but I need new tires. About the cat at 120....I've scored two bunnies and dozens of birds at many hundreds of miles an hour. The scary one was taking off out of Denver's long a$$ runway when a coyote went between my legs at 160 knots. Yikes!!! I did have a friend hit a deer on his motorcycle and in a turboprop. Ouch! The deer didn't fair so well but the driver scored a broken rib on the motorcycle hit.

You forgot to mention that was with 40 other loonies 6 inches from your exhaust pipe and quite possibly entering a bend as well!
Whole different ball game that one!

Given recent revelations by an Am erican Expat in China not so sure it is wise to discuss such matters in a public!
Needless to say I am sure everyone's efforts were on closed to the public roads under professional supervision. It was in such an environment that my current motor when driving my late S4 with the stock skinny OEM wheels/tires managed to put an acronym of 928 [km/hr] on the clock when driven by a professional driver. Presumably you can take 10 to 15 km/hr off that for speedo error.
I was advised that at such speeds the road gets very narrow indeed.
As a mature 928 wrecker I doubt I will ever see such speeds..but you never know!
Hmmm- I think my nose just grew an inch longer!

Got my 86.5 up to approx. 140mph on the German autobahn, but that was without the s300s chipset.
The car pulled very well/hard until it shifted up from 3rd to 4th gear at about 210 km/h (126 mph).
After that the rpms dropped quite a bit slowing down the acceleration.
I am very curious to know what it will do now with the s300s v4 chips, but haven't had time for a trip to Germany yet...

996, not 928, but: 140, once, briefly, out in the desert. 100, all the time. Have to do that just to keep up with the surrounding traffic in some areas. When I was on the 10 freeway east of Indio a few weeks ago, I was going 95 to 100, and many cars were passing me.
And if any cops are reading this forum, none of the above is true.

156 next to an Audi R8 v10. I was faster upto about 140, then he shifted into 6th gear and started walking away. Luckily anything above 150 starts to be more of a function of johnson rod size.
