There was no blocking in that video, not one second of it Brian.
Im unclear on where you see wrong in this video, it was exciting clean, legal, gentlemanly racing.
Bob was not pushed off. Bob _****ed up_ and didnt see that coming.
The right thing would have been to pull out, and turn down inside of the late apexing honda..but Bob did not choose to do that.
Im not sure what you are expecting to hear, but you'd hear these things from me at a NASA event, which is only me pointing to the CCR which defines both line and driver conduct. None were crossed here.
No dick move was made. A weakness was exploited. Someone got schooled. Cleanly.
But I suppose that is simple point of view. Its a dick move if it was on you, it was good clean racing otherwise.
Pre judging your competition is gonna hurt ya later. I hear it coming when E30s have to run with USTCC, and _inevitably_ there are a number of on track issues between the two groups, that are 99% E30 faults because "Here come those dick Hondas.." and it colors their on track judgement.
I'm not complaining to ya Brian, I'm teaching to you. I'm the guy that literally sees it all, hears it all, and some days can tell you what mistake which driver will make depending which way the wind blows. Don't become a predictable racer personality...become a _good racer_.

Yeah, just watched it again. that is some clean racing. I don't think I would have given him any room on that exit of 11 either. He blew it by opening that door way too wide. very uncharacteristic of Bob. he was already narror, why not just keep that door closed? no the exit, you get what you get . on the 5-6 turns, never was there a block. he just moved to the inside once. no two move. called driving narrow, and perfectly ethical and legal in racing competition.
That's my take and ive seen MUCH closer racing in my years with these guys. take a look at my race agaist rylan a few years ago at thunderhill and let me know what you think.

and im saying that at 23:10 that in our racing , I wouldn't have taken the exit to the birm as it would have put rylan out in the weeds at 100mph, so I gave him some room on the exit. (just a little) to complete a pass. we are supposed to give racing room whenever possible. that was my only point.
and this is a good example of it. If I was the RSX in this situation, I had the open door, I took the inside and if I ran wide to the birm, there could have been a little problem here.

see 20:30 for the same situation where I'm the "RSX" in this video.

Dai hard took an inside line and understeered through the corner, we came REALLY close to hitting and I dropped two wheels in the dirt to avoid impact....

For example....on my tiny 4.5L engine...when I got it the timing was set at 30' flat from 3000 up.....fuel was FAT at 11.4...I leaned it down to around 12 and got 243-257..... I increased timing to 31 from 3000-5250 and 34' from 5500 up...now I have 265-289 massive gains....my AFR still is quite rich...the dyno (tailpipe) showed 13 in midrange and 12.4 up top...my header WB02 shows about 12.8 midrange and 11.8-12.0 at 6k....so I have more to gain as well.... my plugs read near perfect, possibly low on timing-temperature.... I think can either increase timing up high OR lean it out.....
How did you do that with the distributor?

good example....... I'd say your pass in 1 is more like the RSX, EXCEPT you allowed Rylan racing room to stay on course..... Maybe the RSX had no choice, maybe it was understeering out and he didn't mean to push Bob off the track...who knows...reminds me of this incident racing in lemons...I'm driving the yellow opel (tinyvette) on the outside of 8...I saw Dai Hard coming and took a very wide line to let him through....

take a look at the video regarding the "blocking" there really wasnt any. sure you might get peev'ed to have a guy run narrow on you if you have more acceleration, like he did up to turn 6 at laguna, but, they only can play that game for so long in a race before you fake one way, go another and get a better run on them to pass them down a favoriate straight, or under braking .
Dont get all twisted up with guys that are agressively protecting position. ive seen WAY worse!

hmmm ? no comment? you think It would have been fair to run Rylan out to and into the tires or mountain, just because I was on the inside and ahead of him.
my take is its one of those rules that needs a little interpretation of the situation and really a clear understanding of the spirit for which is was written.
But, if taken literally, Rylan would have been at fault in our contact, instead of the ruling of no fault, just a racing incident by SCCA

I run bone stock fuel pressure regulator...not even adjustable.....its set by the factory at 2.5bar or 36.75psi.... We tested it at about 37psi....I think all pre S4 928's with L or LH jet ran this pressure too.....
However my 265whp-289 torque 4.5L is hitting near 88% duty cycle at 6000 at the end of the straights.....its about 12.0-12.1 on my new wide band too...
If I were to bump up to a 5.0L I would get an adjustable regulator to bring my duty cycle down a bit

I just measured the fuel pressure........ near 50psi. don't know how its higher than it used to be, but it is. in fact, when I remove vacuum, it runs up to near 60psi. so, I took some pressure out to near 40psi, and 50psi with the vacuum removed. now, its hunting (AFR reading) during idle, so that's good. it was so rich, (near 10:1) that I think it might be in the right range now. Need to get the think on the dyno again to see what I did. (or at least get a wide band sensor on it soon.

he went in hot, and just drove out at the limit. I don't think he really cared where he ended up. bobcat, having the talent he has, just became his wingman. we know the odds when following door to door with a competitor. if we have to go off track to avoid contact, we do it. its happened a few times to me. you just drive off in the dirt, and come back on a little dirty. if you rush, you get sideways and usually crash.
