Default Found a deal on this part thread...

Hey everyone,

I don't want to do anything that goes against the suppliers that work so hard to keep us in parts. However, every now and then, deals pop up elsewhere and the more we save, the more we can spend with the tried and true 928 parts suppliers.

This thread might die quick but I'd like you to consider adding links to deals you find on parts for others to know about....

Here's mine...Bosch 69475 Fuel Pump for less than $100!!!

Rolled the dice on the Amazon Bosch 69475 Fuel Pump and it was a winner....

Purchased for $98ish

Bosch 69475 Original Equipment Replacement Electric Fuel Pump : Amazon.com : Automotive Bosch 69475 Original Equipment Replacement Electric Fuel Pump : Amazon.com : Automotive

Make sure you either wait until Amazon replenishes their stock OR order the ships within 2 weeks option from the right side of the page.

Just order direct from Amazon (not one of their suppliers)

I can confirm the pump is not the cheap "Made in China" pump but is the "Made in the Czech Republic" pump. Same model and place of manufacture as the one I took off my car after YEARS of service.

Did you receive the Headers yet? If so how did they bolt up, any issues?

I have a set of the headers here already and they look perfect - for the money you cannot fail.

Roger, can you post a picture?
I'm not really leaning that way but you never know, and a hint on the price as well may help them off your shelf.

Me, too, but Amazon says "This does not fit your 1980 Porsche 928". Does the older car use a different fuel pump? Haven't dug in to that section of the car yet.

Yes, the early cars had a CIS fuel injection system and the fuel pump was different than the pump used with the L-Jet cars.

Bosch website says 69471 for 83 and 86 928. 69475 looks identical but does not have pretty powder blue paint that 69471 does. 69475 is listed by Bosch as the equivalent to 92860810403, which is the pump for 91-94 cars.

I have no idea if there is a difference between the two pumps.

Bosch 69475 is not a pump as used on a 928. However if you feel it works that is a good deal.

External Fuel Pump for 89 to 95 when used with the in-tank pump.
Trey I stand corrected - any of these numbers cross reference to the 69475 - still an awesome price as I can't buy it for that price.
Maybe ordering a few from Amazon.
Not many use that pump after deleting the in-tank pump for the screen - better to use 69473

I scored an FPR off Amazon for $180, but it was the last one. Price jumped immediately after I purchased it, so yes deals can be found.
