Simos I found that collector site as well, and was planning to order. I was going to cut off as much of the runner length as I could and then send on the collector pieces.

According to this ebay offer tey say it will fit the '78, '80, '81, '82 models aswell. In fact, they won't fit as I understand from previous explanations.

Ah Mr Harkin,

Do your 442 torques go through custom headers or stock fitment?

Regards

Fred

Stock..i havent dynod in about 5yrs now..since then im running 42lbs injectors..a sharktune...inlet guide.etc..Id like to think its more now.

perhaps this is why my trannsmission is finally giving up.

great price on the headers though. For me right now its not worth the hassle to install and monkey with everything aft of them to assure fitment...xpipe..high flow cats etc.

What is your plan for the transmission?

I politely emailed him again to get back to me on fitment for my MY'83.
Will let you know. If there is some light modification to be done to get them to work i am buying a set.
For $400 they're even nice as garage art.

My Pirtek supplier, who did the oil lines and fuel lines, supplies some garage art for free.

OOPS, I hope I don't get burned now...

Those who said these will only work on 32V motors are right.
OBX's manufacturer got back to me a few days ago.

I bet you could modify the bolt holes and lop the top flange off or space them out like Simard did on his Devek's and have them fit a 16V. Still cheap, and still stainless....

Bought a set. I prolly won't get them installed for a while though. I'll be needing a new X-pipe too.

Absolutely, the only issue I've had with the OBX headers I've bought (Chevy Blazer 350, and Miata 1.6l) is minor fitment problems. We'll see how these work in a few weeks. The Blazer was regularly driven on the beach and they held up over five years.
