They don't look much like other sets of headers for the 928 I've seen, especially drivers side with steering shaft clearance.
Didn't MSDS run a special last year around $600 with option for factory jethot coating?

I'd expect them to be stainless. Can't speak to whether it is 316 as described or not. OBX makes downpipes/exhaust for cars I've owned previously- Mitsu 3000GT VR4 and Volvo C70, for example. Most reports to forums that I've read indicate good welds, solid material that held up over time, but sometimes a need to re-tweek some bends/angles to get a good install.

Like Sean said, we have a Header-X that goes from our MSDS headers to the stock exhaust or the Motorsport dual exhaust, but I cannot say whether these headers terminate in the same place as the MSDS headers - so I cannot say whether our Header-X will fit these.

It's odd that the flanges on my DevII headers look remarkably the same, and seem to fit fine on my 16V heads when mocked up on a bench.
Considering you cant even touch a SS header for a 928 for even 3x the cost of the OBX ones, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest if they were made of a less than premium stainless grade.
If I didn't already have the D2's I'd be all for testing a set of these on a 16V.

OBX seems to be cheap Chinese stuff that's flooded Ebay. I assume someone shipped a set of MSDS to China and the boat just arrived back.

Second link for early cars, different name but probably same seller (San Fran vs. Oakland).
OBX Header Manifold Exhaust 78 79 80 81 82 Porsche 928 USA / Euro 32V-GT
Note on the first listing - free shipping was removed. Shoulda bought when I first saw it.
I wish I could get cool stuff. I have to run near enough to stock for chip tuning.

[QUOTE=KenRudd;10434465]Is it wrong that I want headers just because they look badass?
I was thinking the same last night.
I just sent them an email asking if their product would fit my 1983 S
What other options is/are there for us with 16Vers for more efficiency?
I have a feeling my factory e manifolds could be improved on.
