Nice car. I really think the dark tint makes it look ricey though. A 928 with black interior looks much better when you can see the outline of the seats through the glass. IMHO

"dollardayauto" hee hee.

I didn't know a SC would give you that much more top end mph, but hey, it's a Rogerbox.
The PRND32 position looks weird, or is it?
Those are GTS mirrors.

Looks really nice; it is a no reserve, I guess.

As far as top speed that will depend on gearing. What gears do you have?. Good luck with the sale, I think it should be worth everything you have into it.

Looks like this car from Murphy's website. If it is not ok to post it here, please delete with my apologies.

Isn't there someone that could barely go 200mph with a dedicated "Bonneville Car" with over 900 hp?

And how fast did Andy just go with his stroker at the Texas Mile....with 600 REAL horsepower?

Doubtful that a bolt on supercharger is going to do this....

Carl Fausett of 928 Motorsports hit an official 216mph with his Bonneville prepped 928:

It would be interesting to see the difference doing the standing mile on SALT versus the pavement runway in Texas. Something tells me the 100' time would be a bit extended.......

Do what? Increase the top speed of a car by 30+mph?
It happens all the time with many makes / model of cars.
The 928 is no exception.

Bolt on boost can propel a Corvette well beyond 210mph, that's with pushrods...

I think I recall someone in Europe taking a 928 past 200mph GPS verified. I don't remember the mods but I think it was on a puplic road. Anyone know what I talking about?

Yep, he does run some serious nos HP. As far as this car goes it looks to be sold $23K. Congrats to the seller and the new owner.

Can't argue with the slip. I don't have one yet, and therefore it's all talk and no walk from me so far! ;-)

Still I'll go on record saying that manifold pressure gives fantastic hp/$.

That was Pete Walen's car. He ran in the 145 class at the Bonneville 100 (twice) and didn't get over 162 mph in the speed trap.
I don't remember if it was supercharged the second time he came out, I know it wasn't the first time when he only got up to 155 mph.
Also, don't know if the car for sale is the same as this one though.

Isn't it harder to hit 200 at Bonneville, say, as opposed to on pavement, something to do with the salt being a loose surface? Seems like I read that in a book somewhere...
