I haven't done a speed run on the salt or lake bed, but from what I've read/heard, yes it's harder to hit 200
on the salt. But if you are talking about the Bonneville 100, it's run on highway 93A, a two lane paved road, that runs
next to the Salt Flats, two different types of events. I only got up to 189 mph there, while running my Stage II
Murf kit. It wasn't until I "upgraded" many components was I able to get over 200 mph in the speed trap.

Hi

208.1 MPH and proof was provided and plenty of UK Porsche owners have seen it, but I am not stupid enough to post it on the net....

Pop over to the UK and I will happily show it to you....

Car is still running fine as my daily driver, still with Nitrous, and may try and exceed my UK record quarter time this year, I "should" be able to cut the quarter record time down from a 13 to an 11, IF everything goes as planned...or maybe not lol...

All the best Brett

I've beat the UK record in my home built SC setup with less than 400hp.

Doubtful that a bolt on supercharger is going to do this....
Somehow George Suennen has done just over 201 with his Murph SC kit on an otherwise stock S4 motor. Perhaps the exception that proves the rule. It took a few tries before he was able to do it without fueling issues or something coming apart, but it appears he has found a workable setup after lots of trial and error. The RWHP, at least by dyno at sea level, is not even 500 after Sharktuning by a local amateur. George will try again for 200+ in a couple of weeks at the Silver State Classic.

Had mine to 180 and felt like it still had another 5-10 mph left in there.

Isn't there someone that could barely go 200mph with a dedicated "Bonneville Car" with over 900 hp?
When are you going to stop spreading this disinformation, Greg?

The reason I ran 216 MPH in 2011 is because I had more motor than traction and that's well documented. Watch the video.

The reason I ran 207 in 2012 is because we had a fire in the bell-housing blanket that prevented us from doing any more runs. That has been explained here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...2-results.html

I know you didn't miss that post, you just prefer to ignore it.

Perhaps, instead of being mad or jealous of our successes, you should look inward. We all know that you have been assembling 928 motors longer than I have.

So what made you stop reaching for more HP? Why am I over 900 HP and you are in the 600's?

What made you say "no 928 will ever make more HP than I can... the block will crack in half! (or whatever). Don't be mad at me, Greg. Be mad at yourself. You quit.

Maybe you should explain that.

PS: Dyno from yesterday.

Just because you cant get your head around it, doesn't mean it isn't real. Their phone numbers are on the top of the sheet if you don't believe it.
