Big Reds vs Big Blacks

Its very far from easy to install those 996 GT2 calipers. Distance between mounting holes couldn't be worse what what it is. Its almost impossible to make "normal" adapter for them. Theres also problem of many wheels not fiting around them. So far we have found TSW Montage and one version of BBS 2-piece wheels which fit. Disks are easy though. 350mm Cayenne front disks work fine and only cost around $100. Couple of local cars have been running these for years.

I think there is still two separate bolt hole distance possibilities on 997 calipers. Smaller ones are easier but big ones are equally hard as big 996 versions. In 997 case big ones are all just carbon versions. Smaller monoblocks are also improvement as they are lighter but they are basically big black size or only little bigger and not much bigger six pistion versions.
