Default '78 parts car with 23K orig miles: $300

I'm selling this car that I picked-up a few months ago. I've taken the interior, muffler, engine wiring harness and instrument cluster. Backstory is that the car was bought in '78 and rolled in '79, then kept in a garage with some restoration done over the last 30 years. If you need body parts, glass, engine, engine parts, tranny, etc., you will not likely find them cheaper and in better condition. I'm asking $300, but want to have the freon removed by a shop in transit, and remove and keep the AC condenser and the radiator.

Bill Ball can probably remove the freon for you. Send him a pm.

I thought the same, but it's totally full. It doesn't look like it from the outside, but this thing is a time capsule.

There are so many time capsule pieces I could use of this car, I just can't make it happen.

I have it's gauge cluster, and it's amazing!

Does it really have its original Pirelli P7's, T?

I'll check again on the tires, but I think so. There may be some other options, Jim. I'll PM you.

I have a Freon recycling machine, BUT it's not mobile. You have to bring the car to me. I have an empty Freon canister that I could vacuum down and bring over to capture your system's Freon, but I don't think that would work very well (never tried it, I think too much air would get into the canister).

Thanks Bill. I'd like to remove the freon when the car gets transported, so I may take you up on that if it works out. Otherwise, I'll try to plan it so that I can do it at a shop in Alameda on the same day the car is being picked-up or delivered. Hopefully it can be done on the trailer.

Man.... if only you weren't in California! Or, rather, if only you were closer...

Makes me wonder if you can keep the wheels and sell the rest of the car? (wheels can be sold for more than 300, given time... plus it dont take that much space)

Sadly shipping will cost $$ on the rims.

Can you please give us the Cliff Notes on the car, its story, and what's left of it?
