I'm confused now....
I thought it referred to him parking his car in a cul-de-sac.

Remote reference available here as well Mark.

Mark - its probably worth taking the time to make pdf's of the thread's "Printable version" (under "Thread tools") so you have all of slate928's posts without having to subpoena R'list, in case he feels compelled (by legal advice) to go back and edit his posts should his account become active again. If you need a link to the thread PM me.
Good thought Hilton. I just looked at one of my posts on that thread, and the edit icon was there anyway (I didn't actually try it).

Mods. Can that thread be locked for changes?

I'm sure it's been backed up. I wouldn't worry about it.

I know there are some "low end ambulance chasers" out there, but what "real" attorney takes a case for $237.00?

Seriously....can you get a "post it" written by an attorney for $237.00?

Not only that but what attorney would willingly work with such motivations, see this as a worthwhile use of his skills AND be so eager about the case to send off a letter over the weekend?

Are you sure this is an actual attorney and if it is, do they know about it?

If I had a friend in need and I wasn't a government lawyer, I'd probably draft up a demand letter free of charge. Depending on the friend, perhaps. I tend to have friends who don't need demand letters, so that works out nicely, especially since I'm not allowed to write them anyway! I wouldn't be so quick to assume its a fake is the bottom line. Perhaps the Tennessee bar isn't as hard to pass as other states...

When all this is done, can you sue him in Ca and make him get a taste if his own medicine?

Good luck, sir. Wish I could have seen the thread where this guy "trashed" you.

I don't know if this was already mentioned, but in small claims he can add to his cost all of the court fees he incurred suing you, so for those saying that it'd be additional costs for him to sue you...not really the case in my experience.

Looks like his lawyer is a buddy working pro-bono as most hourly wages for lawyers is upwards of $250, so I second the notion that this guy is all scare tactics. I agree with the counter scare tactic. Make it logical and fact based and you'll be fine. Document every interaction, never speak to him over the phone. GOOD LUCK!

Sorry to hear about the trouble, Mark. I hope you can successfully defend yourself without breaking the bank.

Just make sure any court date coincides with SITM. It would make a great "fun drive" up to TN for a 100+ 928 owners and your supporters.
