We should not go off topic but as you all know the car manufacturers do test these kind of things in both cold and hot climates. Several european car manufacturers do have test facilities in the far north of Sweden where it is quite cold during wintertime.

It look like these mounts would be perfect for those who want to install a S/C and don't have the clearance except with the factory Porsche mounts.

Doh, I just bought a new set of factory mounts for my S/C mod.

The canister design allows height adjustment as well with either shims or reduced thickness material. Lots of options there. Also, different durometer inserts can be cut from different materials. Its a very tunable mount. Hopefully we can get some interested people and cut a batch.

If you can get a batch made soon, I would still have time to install these motor mounts and sell the new ones I recently received since they have not been installed yet. I would be interested.

I had an XS11. My Brother-in-law and I each bought one new in 1978. Fastest production bike made in 1978. The V-6 Hondas came out the year after. I loved my XS11.

I'll be starting another chaindrive XS11 soon.
...Sorry Hans....
Maybe Dins can use a set as the V12 mounts are so close to the 928 mount locations.

Soon, I think you mean the Honda CBX, air cooled inline six...bought one in 79, felt like an electric motor, faster you went the smoother it got. Only problem: lost about 20 hp when it got hot! (Hey! This ain't a bike thread!!!)

Need a couple more commitments before I can lean on the shop for better pricing.

I may start an Indiegogo campaign so people can track progress, and if we dont get to that threshold, we know instantly, and I dont have to raise pricing or issue refunds... etc.

I may start doing that for all the stuff I work on. They take 4% off the top, but thats not too much when you consider the time savings and clear progress indications.

Thanks
Hans
