After a year of searching, finally found my 928
In cars, as in life, it pays to be patient. I have looked at most 928s available from Texas to Canada over the past year, hoping to find the perfect one for me.
Just as I had almost decided to slow down my pursuit.....I found her only a couple of hours away in Weatherford TX. After I saw the price, and the pics, I drove there as fast as I could and snapped her up. I even broke a promise I had made to myself to not buy a car I had only seen in the dark.
About my car:
1980 Euro Auto 130k
Black on Black
2 owners, this guy had it 13 years
Interior is immaculate besides some wear in the seats
Paint is great
Runs like a top
only very minor issues
Thanks to all of you who heped me in my search!
Looking forward to joinig the DFW group very soon
Mike

Yeah, the RH front section of the rub strip is missing. Most likly means the fender was changed during it's life, because there should be two holes IIRC.
Now you need to join the DFW crew on our monthly breakfast GTG's. Contact Roger (see link in my signiture) and he will add you to our mailing list. We have several 928's in and around McKinney.

yep...sounds logical on the fender.
Have been to Rogers place a couple of times...he was helping me look.
Also need to talk to Sean or someone else about hiring him for an hour or 2 for a tutorial. I am having a horn issue....may just need a relay, but need it to pass inspection

starting to make sense....right fender looks like it has been replaced and that is where the horns are located. Probably not a coincidence. Thanks guys

great looking car, you will have fun with this one.
if your going to keep the wheels you have,
might I suggest to measure from the outer edge of the rear tire to the inner edge of the fender subtract 5mm that is the clearance you have to work with,
then get some bolt on bolt on spacers as close to your measurement without going over,
This to kick the rear wheels out,
the reason they are sucked in is to make room for tire chains
