Congratulations and welcome, ranks very high on the "good feel factor meter" when - after a long patient search - you have finally found and hooked that special car!
Have fun enjoying the drive, ownership while getting to know a whole bunch of good people who are all - in the most pleasant ways - (928) car nuts.
Can you please tells us more about the window trim: what is it made of or overpainted or...? And from the picture it appears there is some small white or silver line/or trim? situated on the passenger side of the hood 2/3 from the top of the pop-up head-light: is that just a reflection or something real?
Oh yeah, as I always write: more pictures please, in- and outside!

Thats what my window trim looked like when I brought home my 82. Get some trim paint from a good quality paint store tape the car off and DIY. Only took me a couple hours and turned out great. Search is your friend for the best brand / type to use.

Nice! Congrats on finding what you wanted. In case you haven't already figured it out, this place is an incredible resource for these cars.
These guys really know their stuff.

I think SEM trim paint is the one everyone uses. Prep it with Bulldog paint adhesion spray. It give you ten minutes to paint it. Simple and easy way to improve it up front.
Welcome to the tank! Plan on bringing it to the first Saturday breakfast next month. Also, join the 928OC for a discount on any parts you get from Roger. Now post more pics!

Be sure to go over to www.928oc.org and join the formal 928 Owners Club. The Roadside Assistance Program and carefully detailed Technical Forum can be real life and money savers for all 928 owners! $28 is unlikely to break any 928 owners bank either and it helps support the International organization that keeps our 928's top of mind around the world!

Thanks guys, will be posting some pics soon.
Tright fender has been replaced along with front nose/spoiler, all of which were originally red.
The hood is slightly mis-alligned, but opens and shuts ok. All of the looks to have came from as a result of a fender-bender, no insurance claims that i have been able to find (my brother is in the ins biz),
Needs a new stereo and tires.
Thinking about changing the wheels to 17", maybe CupIIs or something more up dated
Everything else is pretty awesome.....love the car
will do my best to get to the next DFW g2g
