A family member just got a car with DSG, and its nice, but I'd still rather row the gears myself.

Hi Tony, my Z had an RPM stage 4 trans/rear and it was absolutely bulletproof. It would definitely be nice to have in a 928 for sure. I'll have to look into the whole swap once I'm back into a 928.

The box is not that large. See the video. PCS may have also created a shorter cable due for purchase too. I bet you that sucker would fit either under an aftermarket seat or if you have a rear seat delete, under the frame of it. If people can shove a subwoofer and amp where the seats are, why the hell wouldn't the box fit there too?

It could just be mounted on the floor too on the passenger side of the car as well in an orientation that could take the slack out of the cable too. Either way, It can be done. The floor would need to be cut either way for wiring and the cable. A box could be built to 'hide' the module on the floor too.
At the same time, this could just be one of many kits later offered over time. I'm a good half decade away from doing something like this. Technology will get better and electronics always get smaller.

Again, just drop in the entire vette drivetrain, the ECM controls the tranny. There is a built 5.3L LM7 bolted to the vette 4l60e being dropped into a 928. I told him to start a build thread on 944hybrids or here.

I like my motor and would prefer to at least keep that part of the drivetrain Porsche still. Afterall, I painted a lot of it real pretty-like too.

After 2k miles on the swap, the only hiccup has been the High pressure PS line (inadequate).I had it redone as it blew off at compression fitting when I cranked the wheel 100% to left. Good luck it happened while I was at the shop near Midwest Hose, they made me one on the spot. Originally, the blue fittings were actually fitted to stainless-braided 3/8" ID teflon, so I made a rubber temp hose to limp me over to the hose shop..... Originally I had a 45* compression fitting at the rack with a 34" hose. I had them make me a 36" hose with a straight fitting at rack and 90* at the GM PS pump.....works perfectly...

Both -6AN. The rack side is a banjo to 6AN. The pump is GM o-ring to 6AN.
Radio delete mod for another few lbs shaved...

I've read that the LS ECM puts out a 4cyl. signal
Got rid of the 4.7K resistor and opened the 928 tach. It's just like the 944 tach with a potentiometer, so I dialed it 180 degrees back (counterclockwise) and it's reading spot on....
