Cold weather is starting to break..... I had to go back and add an extra port under the TT adapter for the allen cap bolt on the front of the coupler which moves back exactly 0.80" when the rear coupler bolt is removed first. Will make the clutch change/BH removal even easier than the factory 928 BH/Clutch. I test fitted the Truck oil pan just for kicks, it can be modded for the 928 swaybar no problems. I'll hold onto it and do it later and post dimensions as it's factory spin-on oil filter clears the LS-134 headers.....

A very industrial looking mill. I like the numbers it puts out.

I'm picking up a new oil-pan gasket for the Alper pan I posted dimensions on. Eric sent that pan only as a cover for the Fedex pallet trip the engine made.

Just so we're clear, you saw it here first, in case Hack re-posts these pics somewhere claiming his new LS swap kit lol.... The extension tube indexes on the re-profiled billet adapter plate and allows the 928 front shaft and coupler to fully rotate within the sleve ridding the need for a pilot bearing adapter....

Pics are XSchop approved....

I can't see any pics from work, but that number will be easy to hit. LS1 with a LS6 intake manifold and long tubes should do about 360whp. A 0.600" lift cam will get you 400+whp. Heads will add another 40whp at that level, but they aren't worth the money. At that point you'd be ahead to build a LS3 headed 6L.

Much cheaper to do all LS6 stuff (243/799 heads), '02+ LS6 cam, then the intake. You can find all of that for under $1000 very easily.

Unless you've already got a 6+ liter LS based engine, it is not cheaper by any means. I wish I could run a "small bore" LS3 head on my stroked LS2. But nice cathedral ports are just way less work (valve positioning).

I only meant it's not worth putting good heads on a 3.9" bore block. My AFRs cost over $2k. They flow roughly as well as stock LS3 heads that can be picked up new/assembled for $500/pair if you look.

Well, one thing's for sure. It'll be much easier to swap a cam in the 928 than the 948 with the amount of room in front of the new engine. The shorter adapter set the engine back another inch

Installed new billet flywheel, clutch then I pulled it back out the bay after final fittment and gave it some bling with all new gaskets, new starter, F-body engine isolators and new F-body harmonic balancer as I'll be doing billet F-body assesories.....

I'll need a bigger Ice-chest as the LS engine has crazy room left....

Did not touch the oil pan, just ground down the rear X-member lip and moved on. I will not even build the billet-poly trans mounts to have a 3/4" set-back as I originally planned...

Even with the 1" setback of the TT adapter, there is still room for 1.5" setback of the engine if desired with the curvature of the factory 2-piece C5 bellhousing....

And the kicker, The dual 928 exhaust will bolt right up with exhaust adapters when I weld in the front O2 bungs....
