Default What bracket was on water bridge above upper radiator hose?

Going through my 1982 automatic and just looking around to see what is where. I see two threaded holes on the water bridge above where the upper radiator hose attaches to the water bridge. Looks like a similar mount as the one on the other side where the lower rad hose attaches to bridge that mounts the plug wire clip. Can you tell me what was supposed to be there? Thanks!

IIRR axiliary air regulator was originally mounted into both of them. When it moved elsewhere in later models those holes were not always used at all. Some models have one hole in use holding plug wire support.

I just finished and an intake refresh and was scratching my head in what I was missing with those bolt holes. I didn't see anything important missing and had no extra parts, assumed they were unused but it still nagged me a bit so I'm glad you asked the question! Lol

The two holes visible here? (photo from my 82 manual)

As far as I am aware, they have no use on an 82. The wire bracket is attached to the fuel pressure dampener mount instead.

Looks like a plug wire bracket unused by the lower hose inlet....I think the visible unused holes were for the AAV on earlier types of injection. The two bolts on top of the thermo housing were used for the WUR on K-jet cars maybe?

Default Thanks!

Ethre, that's exactly what mine looks like. Ok. I am not crazy. thanks all for posting pics and thoughts. I just don't know what a normal one of these cars looks like and I have nothing to compare it with. I am so aggravated that I cannot yet post pictures and don't know why I am having functionality issues on this forum. Is there anyone like and administrator I can talk to live??
