Looking for a 928 down under

True I have to sit a bit more leaned back in the 928 than I do in my Honda CRV but that goes with driving a GT or sports car.
When I bought my car I couldn't fit but that was because the previous owners were short so the seat was never moved back or in the lower positions (even had extra padding in the seat to make it higher). After putting some force on the seat by pushing with feets on the firewall and moving back and forth it started moving properly.
When you test the car make sure the seat is actually moving to it's extremes.

The seats look quite bad in that one and can be expensive to fix.
The local car looks to be a better buy + the cost of getting to Tas will be min $2k!
Thanks for the offer and I will definitely keep it in mind.
Cheers
Edit - car is a manual too, I need an auto. Cheers

Re: Medium dog in the back of a 928 - you can always buy the worst 928 you can find, and have the canine and 928 in one
Hope you get your car. I bought my s4 sight unseen 3 years ago, with 42k miles. Just went 71k today.
Apart from a radiator leak, no real issues.

I have driven this car now, 82 S with sunroof and headroom is too limited, I tried but could not get comfortable at all. Hit my head repeatedly on even minor bumps. Legs were cramped as I had to move seat forward to enable me to lay back to slightly clear my head and still be able to reach wheel. No way comfortable at all! Massive disappointment! Not sure if even earlier (or even 944) seats would fix the issue, and not sure how to tell prior to purchase.....
I may need to look for a model sans sunroof?

On the flip side, I'm 6'2 and sold my S4 with a sunroof because I found that intermittent bumping my head on the ceiling (mostly on speed bumps local to my house) was too annoying.
For general driving it was liveable, but I did have to get an extended hub steering wheel and have the seat raked back further than I like.

Trying to think of possible ways of fitting into the 82 I drove.....

Its about 4cm - so it moves the steering wheel that much closer to you (and further from the stalks, which is a little irksome), allowing a little more recline without getting fatigue

Now looking in earnest again
If anyone knows of anything down under that has not/ is not advertised yet your help would be appreciated (or any insights into anything that is advertised)
Up to '86 model, non sunroof preferred (or sports manual seats), auto, good condition - not perfect but useable as is with maybe minor fixes needed.
Thanks
