well considering that there are alot of nearly stock 928's that are putting down those numbers with just intake and X pipe changes, I'm not sure those HP numbers will help the car value any....

Year? Model? Etc.

Otherwise it's worth $10.00 and not a penny more.

Mark, is it this car? https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ew-things.html

In Feb you said it was 320rwhp/375tq with 18psi fuel pressure, in April you and Bill found one of the cams 10-deg off and talked about needing to get a wbo2 on it, and in August Marc Thomas said it was a '96 build and apparently you still hadn't had a wbo2 on it.

It might be a really nice car, the problem is that it comes with a whole bunch of question marks.

I think the choices are to sell it as-is for fairly low bucks as a "caveat emptor" project car, or spend the time and/or money to go over it carefully, get it tuned properly (i.e. Sharktuned), and fix the stuff that needs fixing. If the car is sound and straight then that ought to be worthwhile.

It's a pig in a poke at this point until you share a lot more details.

$4k.

Sounds about the same insane asylum shape my car was in when I paid $4k for it.

Leaving $10k in "thats odd..." to take care of.

Seriously..not joking.

is the divorce part of the "Leaving $10k in "thats odd..." to take care of." category?

Yep, thats what its all about. lots of little things i dont, nor does the owner have time for.

its an 88 S4, black on black , nice shape body wise. has the GTS rear bumper . transmission is perfect, and so is the GTS clutch.

so, what else can i provide?? sounds like it might be a 5k car or a $10K car, but not much more. I think the owner thinks it worth more like $15.

there are no wrong answers here. Im just trying to find a realistic ball park dollar value for this 6 litre 928S4

$4-$8k..and only over $5k with a ton of detail from a documented PPO..

Same rules as every other 928 for sale..but this one has what IMHO, is a very troubled powerplant.

320 from a 6L?

Your buddy at $15k is dreaming...things -all- have to work for a 'nice' S4 for $15k, and like you said, its a bit of a science project.
