I paid $78K for a '88 s4, so you're calling me an idiot? WTF??

Who ever promised that you would get your money back for a car purchase?

Hmm, we've got a lot of guys on this forum who have well over $50k in their cars, and none of them have any intention of getting their money back. For most of us it is more than a car.

Who said they wanted it back?

If you don't have the means, then don't complain about the price of my hookers...they're outta your market.

Walking to our car after lunch today, nothing in the first three rows was less than $50k, and all being normal cars would be worth something like 30% in 5 years. Nice cars cost money to own.

Its not the money people are commenting on for the most part, its the bang/buck of this specific car vs others.

That is why when you own a nice classic car that you can work on yourself you are way ahead of the game. Especially a car that can be turned into a new car killer with ease. It will still cost you money but at least it won't beat you to death on resale value in 5 years. As far as lunch, Damn where are you eating man?

Coastal Orange County. In most parking lots around here, my GT is the cheapest car in the lot. And a lot of times, the GTS.

To me, seeing something like "air cond stoped [sic] working... Must have leak" in an ad for a nice car is just like "Ran when parked". If it were just a leak, you would have fixed it. So fix it.

Also consider losing the aftermarket tailpipes. It's not an issue of taste, but originality. Why include the original (funky) phone? Because it is original, and many folks like that. But if they like your phone, and the original radio, they will not like your tailpipes.

Same with the wheels. Those are the correct wheels for a '93 (if they are original Porsche wheels, can't tell from the pic's). But Porsche never supplied polished or chromed wheels. Again, not a question of taste but rather avoiding the obvious "why did you screw up the original wheels" question. GB has an excellent wheel refinisher, he's done two sets for us and they came back factory-perfect. I would strongly recommend getting them refinished.

Two more suggestions: Lose the nonsense in italics, "You appreciate luxury and a sound appreciating asset. You know the first definition of luxury is a limited supply... ". You might believe that, but to many potential buyers (me, at least) it comes across as patronizing bull****. I know what I appreciate, don't tell me.

Also check the spelling carefully. Discerning buyers know how to spell.

Good luck with your sale. Seriously. I really do hope that low-mile '93 GTS auto's are worth 65K, or 56K or anywhere near that.
Jim and Alan,

Thanks I agree on all points.
Just because i don't care about A/C doesn't mean it shouldn't be fixed as it does put a hole in the complete package picture. I had already deleted the italics portion on relist. Was trying to convey thoughts on value but sounded like B.S. Getting a little action at new price.

With the bidding starting lower on the GTS cars this will show where the market is now.

Weird. I just looked at the new listing and see no mention of the AC not working. Did it get fixed?

Prices on the other GTS's starting bids are changed back higher.
A good way to show no one interested at low prices.
The red car was priced ok and at least open to offers,
its just the economy hasn't changed much.
