or another choice would be to buy a good S4 or GT for under 10k and then add another 100hp with a smple bolt on supercharger. You would have a car someone would want in the long run and your fuel mileage would'nt drop to 12mpg. I know what I would do.

How many times has this been discussed here? The value of the GTS doesn't just rest with it's performance, but with it's rarity and collectibility. GTS's are the last and arguably the most desirable of all 928's, which is why nice examples such as this are so expensive.

Wow! That paint is incredible. I've never seen cup IIs with that finish. Was "polished" rims an option?

Porsche never offered polished rims on the 928, as an option or otherwise. Some dealers did provide a polishing service to satisfy customers who wanted shiny rims - mostly in the USA as far as I can see. These days, a lot of the polished S4 rims around have been polished because someone used an alkali-based wheel cleaner and ruined the factory anodized coating.

The Cup I rims on the GTS (and Cup II) were painted from factory - but still shouldn't be that shiny. Looks like someone has painted those with a chrome-type paint, or powder coated them possibly?

Tom,
Mike's car in San Antonio was probably just as nice (if not nicer than this one) with just over 43K on the clock.

His car had a binder about 3 inches thick with every documented service that had EVER been done on the car from day ONE. Everything was done on the car, no PM's were due.
Same exact color sceme except his had Body Side molding.

Mike just sold about 2 weeks ago for $36,000.

Big difference in price for sure!

Well, once VonBeeler's car is sold, we'll have a datapoint for the degree of crushing devaluation that is the rub strip.

I have heard that you want to leave something for new owners to do to make them feel like they made it what it is.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family Dan.

Now that was funny Thomas.

Same wishes for you and your family. BTW, just moving into a house this weekend that has a large outdoor fire pit. Gonna bust open some Super Cedar fire starter sticks to warm things up

Crappy phone install.

I had that same Fujitsu cell phone back in the mid 90s - it was the best on the market back then.

Wow. Typical used car salesman double talk from Willhoit. I expected better.
Lets set the record straight. Two years ago you committed to buy the car for $33,9. And resell it for what $55k? $60k?
I was able to secure it by committing more funds. You are so enthusiastic to tell all of us the wholesale level on my car why don't you enlighten us on what you paid for all your GTS's that your listing for $80k- $120? Right I get it. My car is trash and not worth anything and your cars are rare priceless commodities. Any Legit reputable dealership would never come on a Forum and waste their time to disrespect a private sellers efforts. If I was a dealer you would never disclose this. Put your cape on and tell us how you were trying to save everyone from paying too much with your insider information.

Willhoit= Hypocrite
