They are called "Cool Carbon". That's the brand. Sold at Pelican Parts.

Used them on my Z4MC for track work and once on my 928 racer. Was very happy. Have not used them again as they are difficult to come by in Europe. Almost as good as Pagid RS29s... And that should tell you a lot!

Dust is a product of a high performance brake pad...whats IN the dust is what you wanna worry about.

A pad that doesnt erode the rotor, wont be 'bad dust'..it wont be full of iron, that'll really screw things up. (Hawk HP+ is a great example, or Hawk Blue race pads)

Nothing is as bad as a stock Porsche or Mercedes pads from the 80's.

Not it isn't.

Stock OEM pads from German cars of this era give off more dust than any "racing" pad I've ever used (might still be the same with German cars today, no idea).
It's a running joke in the Mercedes world how fast the wheels will be balck with stock pads.
One master Mercedes tech I know has a sign posted on his shop wall that he will remove and smach any "brake dust covers". A popular item in the Mercedes world to keep wheels clean. They also do a great job of over heating the brakes.

There is nothing "high performance" about the brake pads that came in my mothers old 240D that would turn the wheels black in about 2-3 days.

I have Pagid Orange pads in my 79 and the wheels stay very clean compared to any stock 928 pad.

"Metal Master Blue" pads work great and give off very little dust. I think they come in most 928 sizes.

EBC Green Stuff is my current favorite pad for street cars. I have two cars running them now, stop better than any period correct OEM pad and give off almost no dust by comparison.

"Dust is a product of a high performance brake pad."

I didnt say ONLY high perf pads do this...just its not a huge factor for me.

Just IMHO, you shouldn't put much into the amount of dust, but instead what the dust is a product of these days.

The OEM german pads these days when I peek in the wheels are quote erosive to the rotors..and thats baaaad dust.

Most good aftermarket pads, compete with each other pretty much on keeping dust 'relative'.
