We ordered custom rods for friends GTS crank & 968 compression height low compression Wössner piston engine build from them three months ago. After payment was send they haven't responded to any messages. Trying to call them goes to answering machine every time I have tried. Website is up and phoneline works but thats about it. $2K down the drain.

Damn, I was going to order a couple of sets of BMW High Performance Rocker Arms from P.P. I have asked Greg (Slate Blue) Down Under what he knows about the company. I am not sure but I think I read some complaints about P.P. on a BMW forum some time ago.

Errka ... I have just been to Melbourne (they're in a suburb there) and will be going back in about two to three weeks. I would be more than happy to drive there and front them for you if you haven't got your order by then. The place is a short drive from where I'll be going (20 mins).
Others have had trouble (Australian Ford forum), but ended up getting their pistons. Here's the link ... http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11345455
PM details to me and I'll follow it up, or help you out in any way I can from here in Australia. It's a registered Australian Company and there are ways to make their life difficult under Company law if you don't get your order.
Edit: I've just left a message on the answering machine with a general enquiry ... we'll see if I get a return call today.

Ouch, lots of money at risk.
Dooes anyone have contact info for Tuomo? He used PPM, and received custom pistons/pins (altho' the original pins were too short). I've just tried emailing Tuomo via the Rennlist function for info. Its worth finding out whether Tuomo got his pins replaced by them, as having a positive story about other 928-related orders to discuss with Thomas might stand a better chance of a friendly discussion and happy outcome.
If Thomas of Pure Performance Motorsport in Melbourne can bring positive product and service experience here on the 928 forum, it will show up well on Google, and lets face it, positive feedback from the Porsche community is a good thing.
Dave, let us know if you get a reply or not - I'll hold off bombarding PPMracing for now as it sounds like Dave's on the case and is definitely more local.
Lets hope that this communication failure is just a temporary thing and the order gets sorted!

I am in Melbourne. I have just emailed them asking what performance parts they have re a 928, just to see if they respond. As above, phone call goes to answering machine. Will advise if/when I get any response. I will try to organize a site visit when time permits....
Any chance you could fax or email me a copy of any documentation you have in the way of quotes, invoices, proof of money transmission?
FWIW, we have a sort of small claims body here. A few years ago I was stiffed for a few thousand by a tradesman, and when they would not refund, I lodged a claim with documentation, and within a couple of days of notice of a hearing, received a phone call and a cheque. Dont know if it could work through a third party, but a threat of doing it might be enough.

I emailed them asking what they could do a for a 928, and a Thomas Faska came back about conrods, pistons and billet cranks being possible. I would prefer to go out there with some documentation about money sent so I can confront the guy with it....Erkka ?
